Easing the 2027 Hajj cost

The 2027 Hajj cost was brought below the government's proposal, and a Rp3 million subsidy makes pilgrims' final payment lighter than last year.

  1. D — Aspiration(done)

    The government proposed an average 2027 Hajj cost of Rp107.34 million per pilgrim, about Rp19.93 million more than in 2026.

  2. A — Sticking Point(done)

    The working committee examined each cost component to keep the pilgrims' share affordable without eroding the Hajj fund's returns.

    Dasco chaired the House Commission VIII working meeting with the government and spoke directly with President Prabowo Subianto.

    Agreed: an average 2027 Hajj cost of Rp98.47 million, Rp8.87 million below the proposal; a Rp3 million government subsidy cuts the average final payment to Rp23.25 million.
